Daniel Fridell explains about his forthcoming EP "Worms, Trees, Birds and Mountains”:

 

I often start my day recording a song just for me. I work alot with song orders so this is freeing and very nice just sitting and playing without a goal other than letting the music decide where to go. So this EP consists of some of these morning jams. 

The focus track Worms is a tribute to Philadelphia. A warm city with some really cool musicians. Also a city with a certain, very legendary vibe to its soul music. 

 

All songs were recorded November-December 2024 except All of Me, which was recorded some years ago, when my rhodes just got fixed. 

 

Organic, improvised music.
