5to8s is a groove collective consisting of some of the baddest musicians, singers and rappers in the Copenhagen and Malmø area. 

 

The band has been going strong in Copenhagen for the last 15+ years, with residencies at venues like Ideal bar (Vega), Barbarella, Café Mandela, H15 and Drop Inn, in the heart of Copenhagen.

 

The sound is hiphop, soul/neosoul, reggae and funk, playing a mix of original material, covers or just creating new songs on the spot. 5to8s are always in funk mode, adding a unique flavour to whatever they touch.

 

The goal is too take the audience on a musical voyage, through improvisation, freestyle raps and soulful vocals. Add a bit of playful interaction with the crowd, a low-key vibe, and you have that all encompassing atmosphere that makes a 5to8s live session so special.
